Lashley Destroys Sapp

07-1-2009

There you go, two big black heads collided. Bobby Lashley (former WWE Superstar) continues his winning streak as he gave a powerful pounding on the ex-football player and Japan Superstar, Bobb Sapp. Lashley came off a quick submission victory over Mike Cook while Sapp came off a heel hook loss against the Minowaman, Ikuhisa Minowa. Lashley informed the media that his next fight would be on September. He is currently training with American Top Team.

Lashley immediately took down Sapp and continuuosly pounded the 300-pound super heavyweight until the Stan actor tapped out. Lashley must have got some heavy hands. If Lashley continues to win in a dominating manner, he will eventually make it to the UFC. I can’t wait for that to happen.

Revenge of the Fallen

05-29-2009

This sequel to the highly successful Transformers movie sets the stage for the battle for the entire universe. In Transformers 2, Starscream takes on the leadership role for the Decepticons and brings reinforcements to Earth. All this time, the Autobots were hopeful in achieving peace until they became aware of Megatron’s missing body. The plan of the Decepticons is to revive Megatron and take revenge on the Autobots while conquering the Earth. Optimus Prime and his Autobots needed the help of international armies and Sam Witwicky of course to overcome the seemingly insurmountable odds.

WWE Wrestlemania Silver Anniversary

04-5-2009

I was a fan of WWE when I was in high school and college. I think I haven’t watched a single episode since I started working last April of 2008. Well, I don’t actually miss pro wrestling. I think I have graduated from the thrill of watching WWE. Well my disinterest in WWE started when I got very interested in watching mixed martial arts. I started downloading UFC shows and I even made a blog about it. Check it out here.

WWE has a special spot in my heart even if I stopped watching this show. I am glad to hear that Wrestlemania has reached its silver year. More power to WWE. I am still a fan of Jeff Hardy and Shelton Benjamin though.

Rest Day = TV Series Galore

03-25-2009

Last Monday, I decided to file for a sick leave because I just survived a flu last week end. I stayed in my room almost the whole day and watched a series of TV shows on my desktop.

Lost Season 5 - Things got a little more exciting. The gang will have to go back to the island for a new set of adventures. And the time travelling thingy spiced up my interest in the show.

Gossip Girl Season 1 - A dose of teen drama.

Chuck Season 2 -  This gives me some great laughs. Especially Lester and Morgan.

Kyle XY Season 1 - I just finished Season 1, can’t wait to jump to Season 2.

Dexter Season 1 - This guy really has a thing for blood.

Chuck

02-7-2009

File:Chuck-title.pngHave you watched an episode of Chuck? Well if you haven’t, I recommend that you start watching. Although this TV series may not be someting that will please everyone, I would simply suggest this show to younger people who are quite fascinated about government secrets, crimes and science fiction.

Chuck is a an action-comedy television series that was created by Chris Fedak and Josh Schwartz. Chuck, the main guy of the show is a typical computer geek who received an encoded email about the world’s greatest secrets. Thanks to his old buddy and college friend Bryce Larkin, who is now working for the CIA. The message encoded in the email is the only remaining copy, making Chuck a very important person.

Along with Chuck are NSA agent Major John Casey and female CIA officer Sarah Walker. Walker is also Chuck’s love interest. These two agents will risk their lives just to protect Chuck from harm. Or let’s say, just to protect the remaining copy of the world’s greatest secrets from being destroyed forever.

Disney Movie Trivia

12-20-2008

http://www.watertownlib.org/editor/upload/images/private/jenny/Disney%20Logo.jpgThe 1937 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the first Disney full-length animated movie to be released outside United States. It lasted 65 minutes and everything was animated in silhouette.

In the movie Bambi, the scenes showing the forest on fire and woodland creatures are actually footages from the movie Pinocchio there were not used.

All the characters of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland are found in Lewis Carroll’s books except for the Doorknob.

In 1991, Beauty and the Beast was nominated for Best Picture in the Oscar. It was the first full-length animated feature to have such nomination.

The last animated feature film personally looked-upon by Walt Disney is The Jungle Book in 1967.

Terminator 4

10-10-2008

http://www.cyberpunkreview.com/images/Terminator3-09.jpgThe movie Terminator 4 is the fourth in the Terminator movie series and is set to be shown in 2009. The movie will lead off the 2009 movies summer season and will take place after Judgment Day and sadly without Arnold Schwartzenegger who is not able to play his role since he now serves as Governor of the State of California.

The whole title of the movie is Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. It starts out in the year 2018, the year when there is supposedly a war between man and machine after judgment day. The story is still focused on John Connor and Kyle Reese plus additional characters that will make the story even more interesting. Actor Christian Bale is playing the character of John Connor who is the hero of the movie. In the story, he led the human resistance in opposing the Skynet’s army of robotic Terminators.

A Girl’s Bestfriend

09-14-2008

A popular saying goes “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend”. But come to think of it, chocolates are not a far cry. It’s undeniably true that diamonds are stunning, classy and enviable but unlike chocolates, it can not provide you the sinful feeling of love melting through your tongue, of untainted divine pleasure and delectable happiness that you can only get from eating chocolates. Studies show that 99% of women long for and love chocolates.

Although some men also like chocolates, the craving is not on the same level with that of women. Personally, I do love chocolates, especially the dark chocolate which I believe have significant health benefits.

Batman: The Dark Knight

08-26-2008

http://trylobyte.files.wordpress.com/2007/12/batman_int.jpgAfter the box office success of Batman Begins in 2005, it’s about time a sequel is released. The Dark Knight released July 2008 is the latest in the Batman film series. Christian Bale reprised the lead role, that of Batman or Bruce Wayne. Christopher Nolan again, directed the movie. This latest sequel surpassed its predecessor intensity wise as it is tremendously filled with more action and excitement fr

om start to end. Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale were not the only stars who reunited in The Dark Knight. There are a few more others who were cast again and kept their roles from the Batman Begins. Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman remained as Alfred, Lieutenant Jim Gordon and Lucius Fox respectively. Scarecrow is still in this sequel and still played by Cillian Murphy. Maggie Gyllenhaal joined the cast as Rachel Dawes.

The very popular arch-villain The Joker was played by Academy Award nominee Heath Ledger who died long before the movie was shown. Heath Ledger portrayed The Joker this time with so much evil. In one way or another, his unfortunate death contributed to the promotion of the movie as it stirred up more curiosity from the movie going public.

Mount of Olives

08-10-2008

http://www.victorianweb.org/painting/lear/paintings/3.jpgOn the east side of Kidron Valley facing Jerusalem’s old city is a hill named Mount of Olives. It was named such because of the olive trees that grew along its hillside during the ancient time. It was believed then that Mount of Olives is the hill where the Messiah will come into sight and bring the dead back into life. It was this Jewish tradition that caused the entire hillside to be covered with thousands of grave stones because people then believed that the hillside of Mount Olive is the holiest cemetery.

Many events in the life of Jesus Christ were related to Mount of Olives. In the areas where Jesus had different encounters, churches were erected to commemorate these acts. Now on top of the hill is the hotel Seven Arches.

Celtics’ 39-Point Margin: Record Breaker

06-25-2008

http://www.photo-shirts.com/sports/nbaplayteams/Boston_Celtics.gifBoston Celtics made history with their 39-point margin as the biggest championship clinching win in an NBA finals game. Records show that among the six biggest margins in NBA games that clinched titles, four of them were set by Boston Celtics. The other two were made by the Lakers for championships they won while still in Minneapolis. The second biggest margin for a championship clinching win is 33 points also set by Boston when they grabbed the championship 129-96 over Los Angeles Lakers on April 25, 1965.

This year it was a history again for Boston Celtics as they routed the Lakers 131-92 to win the series 4-2. Congratulations to the Boston Celtics.

Multiple Births

06-22-2008

You can have multiple births when there are more than one fetuses that are being carried in a single pregnancy. The increase in the occurrence of multiple births started in 1970 at the same time when assisted reproductive technologies became popular in dealing with infertility. When you say multiple births, it may be twins and or higher-order multiples like triplets, quadruplets and more. When this happens, the multifetal pregnancy becomes at high-risk because of the several fetal and neonatal complications that can be associated with it. There are two types of twins, the fraternal twins and the identical twins.
